The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT is the modern interpretation of the classic 300SL from the '50s. Mercedes managed to keep the iconic gull-wing doors (coupe), which only adds to the cars exotic flair.The SLS AMG GT is available as a coupe or convertible soft-top. A naturally-aspirated 583-hp 6.2 liter (6208cc) V8 sends power to the rear wheels through a rear-mounted AMG SPEEDSHIFT seven-speed automatic transaxle. Standard features include an AMG adaptive performance suspension, 19-inch front/20-inch rear forged AMG wheels, Bi-Xenon high-intensity headlights, sport seats with leather and Alcantara trim, dual-zone automatic climate control, satellite radio, Bluetooth wireless connectivity and piano black interior trim. Standard safety features include electronic stability control with traction control, eight airbags - including knee airbags for driver and passenger, ignition disable, panic and security alarms. Options include carbon fiber interior trim, AMG carbon ceramic brakes, and AMG carbon fiber exterior mirrors.The SLS received several enhancements for 2013. Engine output has been increased 20 horsepower, to 583; interior seats, door panels and steering wheel now include Alcantara inserts; console, door, and vent trim is now piano black; wheels are now forged; exterior mirror color has been changed to black; AMG adaptive performance suspension is now standard; and GT badging has been added.
